It can be said – the Queries wrapped up The Incogniti faster than Durham CCC wrapped up Lancashire CCC this evening ! Batting first, we shared the pain of seeing Jack Bramwell [96] just fail to get a ton from 115 balls faced: we watched James Gaunt make a super 81 from 67 balls; and then enjoyed a 46 from Geoff Ramsey and despite a bit of a tail-off from the lower order were content with 271 for 7 in the 51st over. Two early Incogniti wickets falling to the left arm bowling of Dom Fry lifted the Queries spirits, then their top middle order made a super stand of 100 runs only to fall in the same over from Paul Roberts and then when Khanapurhar came on to bowl, the mayhem began. From 2 down in the 27th over to 4 down in the 28th over [the Roberts wickets] to all out in the 37th over. Khana’s figures are a fantastic 6 overs, 2 maidens, taking 6 for 11. It was a masterful exhibition of legspin by the man from Mumbai and The Incogniti were all out for 146 and Queries had won the match by 125 runs.
