At the end of a long evening at South Wilts, it’s 3 in 3 !

Queries, skippered by the energetic Tom Grant, batted first and thanks to a 43 from Dan Pirie, 33 from Tom Andrew, and useful scores from Andrew Stratton and Tom Campbell, were able to post a score of 182 in their 20 overs.

As the sky darkened, they set about challenging South Wilts batters led by the resourceful Matt Falconer. His 40 runs were key, and Vincent’s 33 useful but all their playing partners fell apart. South Wilts was all out in the 19th over for 127 runs. Tom Campbell got a 5-fer, so congrats to him, Tom Grant took 2, and Joe Cranch and Charlie Brewer took one apiece. A hefty win by 55 runs. However the real winner was cricket, evidenced by the banter, the smiles, the cameraderie and the enjoyment of the evening’s game shown by players from both sides.

Thank you South Wilts for an enjoyable evening.
