Queries scored 263 for 5 in 40 overs and restricted the Tiffin Tercels to 199 all out in 37.5. George Elliott scored 122 not out, albeit not totally chancelessly (he was dropped 8 times !). Adam Batisson scored 79. Alex Farquhar bowled a fine opening spell and took one wicket for 22 runs; Finn Grant bowled decent offies to take 2 for 51 from 6.5 overs, and Sumith bowling his usual brand of aggressive non-turning off-breaks, took 2 for 40 from 8 overs, restricting the scoring rate as they did so. Sumith’s mate, Som failed with the bat, announced he was a keeper and then produced a classy selection of leg-breaks and took 1 wicket. But the pick of the bowlers was 14 year old Oscar Fox, bowling his off-breaks and taking 3 for 41 in his 8 overs. Nick Jephson kept immaculately, Barry umpired with aplomb, Larkhill was a picture and we very much hope the Tercels will migrate back to us next year.
