A great day out for the Queries against Shrewton CC at their impressive new ground on the hill. The Queries won the toss and took to the field. A positive opening spell from Moses Onyuro and Toby Jones restricted Shrewton with some sustained pressure. It then took a spell from AK Sharma to make the first break through, after which wickets began to tumble. It was the spinners though, Oscar Barnes and Seb Woodford who did the damage to the middle order and tail with Shrewton managing 131 after 35 overs. Openers James Roué and Adam Cutler got the Queries off to a good start and James top scored with 39, making the Shrewton quicks look easy on a true pitch. Everyone chipped in with some runs and the Queries knocked off the final runs inside 22 overs. A happy Queries side enjoying a resounding win in the sun. A great day out.
