Queries vs The Incogniti CC
Sadly the rain got in the way of today’s match, however the Incogniti managed to get their innings completed.
Play did not start till 1:15pm as a 35 over match, with the Queries skipper Paul Roberts winning the toss and electing to bowl. They played throughout the drizzle, the ball became ever more slippery and the ground wet, but they soldiered on. Moses Onyuro, Jack Grant and Ben Sutthery all took 2 wickets apiece and Jon Carroll one, and Incogniti closed their innings at 173 for 7.
During the break it started to rain again, this time more heavily and the umpires declared the match abandoned at about 5:40pm.
Thanks to one and all for “getting the game on” and for their perseverance: let’s hope for a better day next year.
