A Wonderful Day at Tidworth.

We enjoyed a super day at Tidworth for the President’s vs Chairman’s XI match. Simon Campbell writes “Thanks everyone for attending the inaugural game today. Thanks to Andy Palmer, James Collister and Tony Fox for umpiring and Barry for scoring. The playing highlights for me were 50s from Tom Campbell, Moses and Tom Haywood (first game in a couple of years and consequently pulled a hamstring). Good knocks also from Zac Collister, Dom Spencer, Giles Malec, Jack Bramwell and Adam Batisson. Chairman’s team scored 312 for 9 in rapid time led by Sumith Surendran. The President’s XI led by Jack Bramwell were all out for 221. Key bowling performances came from the Woodford brothers – Max and Seb – on opposite sides and taking 3 each, Sumith, Rupert Bagnall and Oscar Fox. Young player of the year went to Savin Banumugama, the Brewer cup for embodying the values of the WQ (!) went to Ninian Macgregor. David Haywood our president made a fabulous speech and we ate and drank in the sunshine. It was a good day and we’ll repeat it next year. If anyone is looking to cater for any event, I highly recommend ForkingOut in Salisbury. Finally thanks to Tom Haywood for laying on the drink. What a day! Simon”
