In this 25 over match, decent Query bowling contained the Urchfont top-order run-scoring ability such that after 10 overs they had managed only 35 runs, albeit for the loss of only one wicket, and after 20 overs 77/5. They finished with 115, 7 down, which was never likely to be enough – and so it proved as the Query top order scored at about 8 an over and the game was all over in the 18th over. Nick Leach, who had taken 14 off the opening over, scored 40 and new member Ian Dunstone 45, leaving Simon Cottle [19] to tidy up. Earlier Rupert Bagnall had taken 1 for 12 in his 5 overs, Michael Kelsey 1 for 28 in his 5 overs of leg spin, new member Alex Morgan 1 for 19 in 5, and guest D Pirie 3 for 19 in his spell.
