The Queries came second best to a strong South Wilts side this evening. We posted 122 for 5 and South Wilts chased it down in 13 overs with 6 wickets down. Our top five made steady but slow progress against some fine seam bowling, with Adam Batisson’s 30 being the highlight. Theo Bossom took 4 good wickets with two sensational slip catches from Bramwell. Tom Grant and Francis Naumann bowled steadily, but the South Wilts batsman were on the charge and we were probably 20-30 runs short. Tom Grant’s captaincy was eccentric but no one was bored! There were pints afterwards and some decent chat.
