Match manager Rupert Bagnall writes “I don’t know what we have all done wrong to deserve the May we have had thus far, but hopefully it is going to brighten up over the next few days and we will be able to play cricket at Erlestoke this coming Friday evening. Weather permitting a 20 over thrash starting at 6.00pm. We normally have a beer and some sausages and chips at the Bell in Great Cheverell afterwards but I’m not sure anyone uses the word ‘normal’ anymore.
In summary anything could happen between now and 10.00pm on Friday, but hopefully we will get a game of friendly cricket in and enjoy each other’s company afterwards. For those of you that have not played at Erlestoke before, if you like to hit the ball straight, please do so along the ground. If you like to hit it in the air, cow corner is the place to go as it is ” six and out” if you hit the ball over the boundary walls at either end of the ground – please be warned!
I very much hope to see you all on Friday and the team is hopefully as follows with Jack Bramwell having to drop out earlier today;
Sean McClure, Freddie Coupe, Tony Fox, Nick Leach, Simon Cottle, Simon Campbell, Kieran McClure, Paul Sullivan, Josh Sullivan, Ollie Illingworth and Rupert Bagnall.”
