Queries win again, at Dauntsey’s School

Queries notched up another win at Dauntsey’s. It was a reasonably comfortable win! The match was played as the annual John Sayer Memorial Match and a MotM award was made after the game.
The school won the toss and batted first, were very quickly in trouble, finding it hard to score runs and losing wickets regularly, and were all out inside the 40 overs distance for 104 runs. A couple were bowled, but the majority were simple catches.
The Queries looked strong on paper, but quite soon were losing wickets, also to catches, and it took the resilience of Simon Campbell and Ollie Illingworth to steer us home with 4 wickets in hand.
As always it was great to be playing at the School for which we have such affiliation and affection, and we thank them for their hospitality and hosting the game.
