We Get That Winning Feeling

Wiltshire Queries came out on top against the Adjutant Generals Corps CC at Worthy Down today. The Queries scored 185 from 40 overs for 9 on a sticky track. Tom Beard scored 50 odd and Jeff Haywood 47. AGC scored at more than the required rate, but kept shelling wickets. Moses was the pick of the seamers, taking 2 wickets (and a great catch in the deep) for very little, and he was backed up by Ollie Illingworth 1, Gareth Kent 1, Jeff 1 and Dan Gill a marvellous 5 for 35 off 8 with his occasionally turning off-spin. Adam Batisson took a stunner at long off.

Sumith Surendran and the AGC boys looked after us well and George Elliott skippered masterfully and kept tidily. There were some misgivings about a catch that went down at mid-off and who should actually have been fielding there, but your author very much forgets the details of that incident.
