Queries Win by the Skin of their Teeth

There’s cricket, and then there’s Cricket, and then there’s the Queries versus The Frogs! This fixture goes back a long way: we love it: we meet our friends year on year: we have good games. Today was no exception. Not that it felt like that at the start. Queries won the toss

Disappointing Cancellations

We have been very disappointed to learn that the Marshfield fixture and the South Wilts CC fixture have both been cancelled by the opposition. That leaves us with only one fixture left to play, The Frogs on the 29th August at Tidworth. The records for the 2022 season look like

A Drawn Match at Hinton

We managed a draw at Hinton Charterhouse today. Gloriously hot day, too hot for some, a lightening outfield, short leg side boundary and a declaration game in prospect. We batted first and reached 110 before the first wicket fell. It was Peter Mountstephen for 41. Then Jack Grant retired when

An Historic Match against the Wiltshire u19s XI

Today we played an historic match against the Wiltshire u19s XI, at Marlborough College. Both XIs included a lot of talent, there was a Breast Cancer fund raising event riding on the back of it, there was a goodish crowd there to watch, and it was a hot day. Queries

Tonight (22nd July) was scheduled to be T20 night vs Farley but the weather had other ideas. We all got there, Queries won the toss and would bat first and Jack Bramwell and Theo Bossom opened. The bowling was lively and the bounce unpredictable, rain was looming, but we got

BACK TO WINNING WAYS

We welcomed the Headley Old Freemens XI back to Tidworth on a hot and sunny day. Jack Bramwell was leading the Queries and winning the toss he inserted the HOF. At 63 for 3 things looked a bit gloomy for the HOF however a fine partnership by T Brooks (83)

A POOR DAY FOLLOWS A GOOD DAY

Queries followed up their good day at Tidworth with a poor day, and a very hot day it has to be said, at the same office. Playing the Army Masters XI, and batting first, the top order all failed with the exception of Peter Mountstephen (68), and we were well
