An Historic Match against the Wiltshire u19s XI

Today we played an historic match against the Wiltshire u19s XI, at Marlborough College. Both XIs included a lot of talent, there was a Breast Cancer fund raising event riding on the back of it, there was a goodish crowd there to watch, and it was a hot day. Queries

The Incogniti beat us comfortably

We batted first, and the star of our innings was Dan Pirie who scored a magnificent 120. He reached 50 in 71 balls/75 mins, his century in 116 balls and 128 mins, and hit 20 boundaries in the process. Sadly no-one could stay with him. Only 4 other batters reached

WASHED AWAY AT FARLEY

Tonight (22nd July) was scheduled to be T20 night vs Farley but the weather had other ideas. We all got there, Queries won the toss and would bat first and Jack Bramwell and Theo Bossom opened. The bowling was lively and the bounce unpredictable, rain was looming, but we got

BACK TO WINNING WAYS

We welcomed the Headley Old Freemens XI back to Tidworth on a hot and sunny day. Jack Bramwell was leading the Queries and winning the toss he inserted the HOF. At 63 for 3 things looked a bit gloomy for the HOF however a fine partnership by T Brooks (83)

A POOR DAY FOLLOWS A GOOD DAY

Queries followed up their good day at Tidworth with a poor day, and a very hot day it has to be said, at the same office. Playing the Army Masters XI, and batting first, the top order all failed with the exception of Peter Mountstephen (68), and we were well

A Good Day at Tidworth

The Queries enjoyed a good win at Tidworth playing an inaugural match against The Jesters CC in lovely sunny weather. Winning the toss, Queries opted to bat only to find themselves one down in the 3rd over. One became 2 in the 8th over as Andrew Stratton followed David Bell

Queries vs Royal Artillery CC, Larkhill

It was a chastening day for the Queries at Larkhill, slipping to a 200+ run defeat against a strong Royal Artillery side. The hosts opted to bat and got off to a flying start - so there was much relief when Dave Bromley's swing bowling removed Graham Wiseman in the eighth

QUERIES MATCH DRAWN AT KING’S SCHOOL BRUTON

It was a lovely sunny day at Bruton this afternoon, tempered only by a constant wind which gusted strongly from time to time. Late drop-outs following yesterday's league cricket meant the Queries had to borrow three players from the school 2nd XI and they fitted in to the side really

QUERIES LOSE AT MARLBOROUGH

Jack Bramwell gallantly stepped in to skipper this team after the match manager fell out. There had been all sorts of problems raising an XI. We eventually got there with the help of a cricketer from the school, and Ninian MacGregor stepping up to the plate. On paper the

Queries Enjoy a Comfortable Win at Dauntsey’s School

Playing a 40 over game on a track that was sometimes difficult to ‘read’, Queries were inserted and found the going quite hard. Early wickets fell, we were 3 down after 11 and it took till the 24th over to break 100. Thanks to a 50 from Nick Jephson, 26
